Peninsula Room & Mission Table Wedding Venue Spotlight
A Lakeview Wedding Venue on Old Mission Peninsula
Just a few miles from our flower farm on Old Mission Peninsula (just North of Traverse City), the Peninsula Room Wedding Venue and Mission Table Wedding Venue offer two distinct (yet complementary) wedding experiences - both rooted in incredible Lake Michigan views, thoughtful hospitality, and Northern Michigan charm. Whether you’re dreaming of a larger celebration overlooking the water or an intimate, candlelit gathering surrounded by vineyards and lake breezes, this venue pairing gives couples flexibility without sacrificing beauty.

Why We Love Working at Peninsula Room & Mission Table
As farmer–florists, we’re always drawn to venues that let nature do some of the heavy lifting - and this one truly does. The lake views through the tall pines, natural light, and intentional design mean florals can feel organic and effortless rather than overworked. As florists, our goal is to match the couples’ floral vision, color, and style to the natural surroundings. The ceremony at this venue offers many options from simple and understated to bold, flower forward installations. With the water views, we typically don’t suggest arches or installations taller than waist/ chest height - wine barrel toppers (pictured below) and a ground arch (multiple arrangements placed next to each other) are two ways to make the ceremony look naturally flower forward while still allowing the ambience and view of the lake to take full effect. Also, ground arrangements and wine barrel toppers are easy to repurpose - either by ourselves, your planner, or a loved one! We recommend large arrangements to be repurposed at the reception entrance, the base of the bar, or in front of the sweetheart/ head table.
We also love how close this venue is to our farm. Having a venue just minutes away allows us to design with the freshest, most seasonal blooms possible - often harvested the same day - and tailor arrangements that feel completely in sync with the landscape. We also don’t charge a delivery or tear down fee at these venues because of the proximity to our farm! Another huge perk to getting married on OMP is your ability to visit the farm earlier in the week (we do charge a $75 farm tour fee) to walk around the flowers with us and choose which blooms speak to you the most. We will harvest those flowers you prefer at the most optimal time to ensure stunning florals.

What’s Special About Weddings Here
What makes Peninsula Room and Mission Table especially unique is the range of experience they offer:
Peninsula Room feels open, elevated, and celebratory - ideal for larger guest counts and full wedding weekends.
Mission Table feels intimate, refined, and personal - perfect for smaller gatherings where connection and atmosphere take center stage.
Couples can choose the scale and vibe that fits them best while staying rooted in the same stunning Old Mission Peninsula setting.
Now, for just a minute, more history and less wedding talk. These venues are a part of the same building that was originally constructed in 1928 as a private house called the Stickney Summer House. It was renovated from residential to commercial use in the 1950s and now houses Mission Table and Jolly Pumpkin Restaurants. This building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011. Also, it might be haunted! Read here for the full story about the ghost of the Bowers Harbor Inn.
Mission Table
Slightly moody and intimate - the perfect place to celebrate with your most cherished loved ones and family members.
Ceremony & Reception Spaces
Peninsula Room
Ideal for larger weddings
Expansive lake views that shine during ceremonies and sunset receptions
Flexible indoor space that still feels connected to the outdoors
Perfect for couples who want a classic celebration with a Northern Michigan feel
Floral Note: Peninsula Room has infinite options to add florals. Large pillars, chandeliers, candelabras, outdoor cocktail/ reception area - the possibilities are endless!
Mission Table
Best suited for smaller, more intimate weddings (guest counts less than 30)
A warm, cozy atmosphere with thoughtful details
Incredible for ceremonies and dinners that prioritize conversation, food, and experience
Feels elevated without being formal
Floral Note: Mission Table is a beautiful wedding venue that we love to thoughtfully fill with flowers. The entrance to the dining area, the bar, and the wine barrels inside are perfect for large arrangements. The dining area has a large, rectangular table with smaller tables around - we typically see small to midsize compotes on the large table (possibly alternating with bud vases) and then placing 2-3 bud vases per small table.

An amazing statement piece, these toppers are an effective way to add large floral arrangements while also supplementing the nature-inspired venue. These are also easily repurposed as well.

Insider Tips for Weddings at Peninsula Room & Mission Table
Lean into seasonality. This venue shines with designs that reflect the time of year - airy summer palettes, late-summer abundance, or early fall textures.
Let the views stay visible. We recommend floral designs that frame the space rather than compete with it - meadow-style arrangements, airy installations, and intentional focal moments.
Sunset matters. Plan ceremony and dinner timing to take advantage of golden hour - the light here is truly special.
Smaller guest lists feel especially magical at Mission Table. If you’re torn between venues, guest count alone may make the decision for you. The intimacy, timeless ambiance, and large, family-style reception make the wedding feel personal and heartfelt.
Peninsula Room & Mission Table Wedding Cost
We know cost is one of the most searched topics when researching venues, so here’s a general framework to help with planning.
While pricing can vary by date, season, and guest count:
Venue rental fees range between $3000 and $5500, depending on the day of the week and time of the year.
For our floral design clients, we generally recommend budgeting at least $100 per guest for a full wedding experience at Peninsula Room or Mission Table. They have a minimum spend of $10,000 on Fridays and $15,000 on Saturdays and $5000 all other days of the week. This typically includes:
Catering & bar service
Rentals and décor
Coordination and staffing
For the most accurate and up-to-date pricing, we always recommend connecting directly with the venue team. They have a contract available to review on their website as well.
Floral Cost by Moondance: Our Full Service Floral Design starts at $4000. A $4000 floral budget typically includes the following: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres for groom and groomsmen, and corsages and boutonnieres for other important family members. For the ceremony, this level of investment often includes two statement wine-barrel arrangements, which are then seamlessly repurposed for the reception, maximizing both beauty and value. Midsize centerpieces and/ or bud vases also typically fit into this budget, depending on scope of the project.
Additional floral elements - such as ceremony installations, arches, aisle florals, elevated centerpieces, or large-scale reception designs - can be added to further enhance the overall look and feel of the day.
