U-Pick Flowers - Self Serve

Walk among the flowers at farm and pick your own to take home. We’ll provide the tools, you provide the vision.

Come whenever is convenient for you! Moondance is self-serve & honor system, meaning as long as we are open you are welcome to come by and enjoy the farm on your own time. All of the instructions are in the purple flower shed, and read on below more more details too!

How to do self-serve U-Pick

  • Park near our flower shed (it has a cute fish on top, can’t miss it!) and head inside for your supplies. We’ve got snips and scissors for you to use to cut flowers around the farm.

Our farm is surrounded by vineyards on either side, a white fence in back, and Kroupa Road in front. Please stay within those boundaries when U-Picking.

  • You’re welcome to harvest any of the flowers & foliage on the farm unless signs explicitly state otherwise! See below for our current list of in season flowers along with tips and tricks for the best harvest and vase life.

If it’s warm, we recommend bringing a vase/ jar with water as you harvest flowers to keep them hydrated & fresh!

  • Flower pricing will be posted on the sign inside the flower shed. Vases are available with prices as well. Please pay with cash in the box in the shed or send us payment via Venmo.

Check out our studio (white building down the steps from the flower shed) for pre-made bouquets and Moondance merchandise!

What’s blooming now!

  • DAFFODILS

So many varieties all over the farm! For longest vase life, pick stems before they’re open and when bent about 90 degrees (will look like a gooseneck). **Daffodils need to be in their own vase without other flowers for 6 hours. Fill vase with fresh water before adding other flowers.

  • TULIPS

Many varieties of tulips can be found all around the farm, explore! There are also raised beds full of tulips in front of the white studio by the large flower field.

  • HYACINTH

These super fragrant flowers come in purple and pink varieties at Moondance. Cut close to the ground for longest stem. Great for the nightstand as a natural calming smell before bed.

  • BOXWOOD

Woody stems require strong snips to cut. Remove low leaves to avoid contact with the water. These stems also make great dried greenery as well!
