Don’t be surprised if you hear this classic playing around the farm. The inspiration for Moondance Flower Farm indeed came from the Van Morrison song. It was the first dance at our wedding.

About Us
Hi! We’re the McLaughlin family–Lindsay, Mark, Levi, Midas, and Samson–and we’re so excited to share our passion project with you.
Mark and Lindsay have long dreamed of working together. Lindsay is a lawyer by degree, Mark’s a nurse–both professions with long, grueling hours. When the pandemic hit, like many of you, we prioritized family–moving from Minneapolis to our home state of Michigan to be closer to family. However, we couldn’t quite find the right place to settle around metro Detroit.
It took only a weekend in Traverse City, Michigan, to know we had found HOME. We fell in love with the water, trails, incredible food and wine scene, and the most welcoming people.
What we didn’t expect was to find our dream business adventure: the flower farm! Combining Mark's love of science, plants, the outdoors, and building new things with Lindsay’s lifelong love of flowers and her creative side, we’re so excited to share our whimsical flower farm with you! We want it to bring you as much joy and smiles as it does us.
FUN HISTORY FACT
For the last 30 years or so, the land has been a flower farm. But the history of the land dates all the way back to the 1800s when the land patent, signed by the one-and-only Abraham Lincoln, was purchased by a woman settler.
