A Beautiful Timberlee Hills Wedding (August 2025)
Brian & Evan’s Timberlee Hills Wedding
Seasonal, Garden-Inspired Florals at a Northern Michigan Gem
Brian and Evan’s Timberlee Hills wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, intention, and Northern Michigan summer at its peak. Set among rolling hills, open skies, and natural textures, this venue created the perfect backdrop for florals that felt organic, romantic, and deeply connected to the landscape.
From the very beginning, Brian and Evan envisioned a day that felt warm, welcoming, and true to who they are - nothing overly styled, but thoughtfully curated. Our role, as the florists, was to translate that feeling into florals that enhanced the setting rather than competing with it.
The ceremony space at Timberlee Hills, styled with wine barrels topped with lush, garden-inspired floral arrangements, set against a natural backdrop of wildflowers and rolling greenery.
The Floral Vision
The floral design for Brian and Evan’s wedding leaned into greenery forward design, inspired by whimsical movement and seasonal abundance. We focused on soft, natural shapes and a palette that felt at home at Timberlee Hills - greenery forward layered with romantic neutrals and gentle pops of blue and yellow.
Rather than highly structured arrangements, the goal was for everything to feel as though it had grown right where it was placed. This approach allowed the florals to complement the venue’s open, pastoral feel while still making intentional visual statements throughout the day.

Seasonal blooms including dahlias, zinnias, and hydrangeas, accented with cosmos, glove thistle, and phlox, and finished with airy foliage (baptisia, honeysuckle, blackberry) for a loose, natural look.
Ceremony Florals for a Timberlee Hills Wedding
Timberlee Hills offers a ceremony setting that already feels expansive and peaceful, so our floral approach was intentionally refined. We focused on framing the ceremony space with designs that felt airy and natural, drawing the eye outward to the surrounding hills rather than inward.
The result was a ceremony that felt grounded, romantic, and deeply personal - a space that held the moment without overpowering it.

Reception Flowers: Effortless & Elevated
For the reception, we carried the same garden-inspired aesthetic into the tables and shared spaces. Thoughtful repetition of blooms and textures helped create a cohesive look, while varying arrangement sizes added interest and movement.
Snapdragons, hydrangea, celosia, baptisia, feverfew and zinnia highlight the simple, seasonal arrangements Brian and Evan were going for at their reception.
Timberlee Hills lends itself beautifully to a relaxed yet elevated celebration, and the florals echoed that balance — polished without being formal, abundant without feeling heavy.

Why Timberlee Hills Is a Dream for Floral Design
As florists, Timberlee Hills is one of those venues where less truly can be more. The natural surroundings, open air, and warm light allow florals to shine without excess.
We especially love:
The way the landscape becomes part of the design
How seasonal florals feel completely at home here
The flexibility to design in a way that feels personal rather than prescriptive
The different vibes and aesthetics achieved depending on the season - Timberlee Hills encapsulates the seasonal nature of Northern Michigan beautifully
A Floral Note from Moondance Flower Farm
Brian and Evan’s wedding is a perfect example of why we love what we do. Designing florals for a day rooted in authenticity, connection, and place is always an honor. Using seasonal blooms and an organic design approach allowed us to create something that felt timeless, intentional, and uniquely theirs. Brian and Evan were the kind of couple every creative hopes to work with - laid back, thoughtful, and deeply trusting of the process. They wanted florals that made a statement without ever feeling overbearing, and they gave us the freedom to bring their vision to life using the best seasonal blooms available. That trust allowed us to customize their floral design and unfold naturally, resulting in florals that felt intentional, balanced, and perfectly suited to both the couple and the setting.
Just married — Brian & Evan, soaking in the joy of their day.
